Sandy Trexler is our church Administrative Secretary. She is a Watauga county native having lived most of her life right here in the Boone area. She is proud to be a Watauga High School graduate, has earned an Associate B. S. degree in 1978 from Montreat College in Montreat, North Carolina and completed a B.S degree from Appalachian State University in Reading Education in 1980. Following her formal education, Sandy taught School in the Watauga County School System for several years in the area of reading education for special needs children. More recently, Sandy worked twelve years with preschool children and their families. The last two years were as the director of First Learning Center at First Baptist Church of Boone.

Sandy's family includes her husband Tom, a principal in Watauga County's school system, and two daughters, Sarah and Heather. Family is precious and Sandy has spent most of her life caring for and supporting their efforts. She looks forward to helping care for the folks at Grace Lutheran.
