Vicar Lisa grew up as the daughter of an IBM-er and can truly say “I’ve Been Moved.”  Vicar Lisa has lived in: Boca Raton, FL, Rochester, MN, Cary, NC, Chapel Hill, NC, Warroad, MN, and Columbia, SC.  Living here in Boone, she is thrilled to now be experiencing all of the wonders of the mountains.  Lisa is a 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is attending seminary at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC. 

Vicar Lisa is married to Vicar Michael Beery, vicar at Bethany Lutheran Church.  Michael is a born and bred Ohioan from West Liberty, OH, who is a 2007 graduate of Capital University in Columbus, OH.  They met while working at Agapé-Kure Beach Ministries during their summers in college.  They were married August of 2008. 

When they are enjoying free-time together, Michael and Lisa like working out, playing pick-up games of most sports, watching most sports, hiking or doing most anything outdoors, catching up with family and friends, and playing their Wii.  

Lisa is very excited to have been called to learn, serve, and grow here at Grace and within the High Country Lutheran Coalition.  She is thankful to be able to experience the Spirit working and moving in this place.
