Pastor John Propst

Pastor Propst w grandchildren“Have I shown you pictures of my grandchildren?” might be Pastor John’s introductory question to you! Keaton & Nola are pictured here; ask him for a picture of his third, Calloway!

Grace, Boone is the 6th interim he has been blessed to serve in the last 7 years. Prior to serving in interim ministries, John served four congregations in California, Arizona and here in NC, two of the four being new mission starts. And when asked about the blessings received by God’s Spirit in ministry, he shares: “In nearly 35 years of ordained ministry, in a wonderful myriad of places, among an amazing assembly of lay leaders, I never cease to be astonished at how God’s Spirit breathes life and joy into His communities of faith across His wonderful Church!”

Married to Liz for nearly 39 years, they live at Lutheridge in Arden. Their family consists of: Jenni, who is a theater lighting designer in Charlotte and a major hockey fan; Brian, who married his youth group sweetheart, Emily and lives in Asheville. (AND they have 3 children – see if you can remember their names without looking at the first paragraph!); and Austin, who married his “Lutheridge friend” Tanya. He is a 3rd year seminary student at Wartburg in Iowa.

John enjoys skiing, golf, traveling (crusing), watching NASCAR, ta’heel sports AND his grandchildren.

I came that you might have life, and have it abundantly … I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”
