Ministry Teams
Grace Lutheran has many committees, which we call ministry teams, that plan, oversee, and manage the various opportunities for ministry our place in the community affords us. While each have their specific role, they are all part of one body of ministry that happens in this place. We give thanks for those who volunteer their time and energies to ensuring the work of the Church goes on.
Caring for Creation

Our usual Stewardship ministry team has been tasked with a special emphasis this year on Caring for Creation. As part of the North Carolina Synod of the ELCA's year-long program, it is designed to bring the stewardship of the Earth's resources forward as an important aspect of our ministry.
Learning
"Church Learning" is not just something that happens on Sunday mornings anymore. While a central part of the Learning Team's role is the planning of our many and various Sunday School opportunities, they are also centrally involved in Vacation Bible School, Confirmation and its week-long summer Camp, Children's Church, weekly Bible studies, and other educational events. There are Sunday School classes for children as young as Kindergarten to young adults to retired and seasonal residents.
Property
Oversight of the Church's buildings and grounds fall to the skilled hands and minds of the Property Ministry Team. This dedicated group of people make sure everything in the church is running smoothly. One newer part of this team is the Grace Builders group, a team of men and women working as "the helping hands of Jesus" in our community. They have performed countless hours of service to those in need of simple household repair and also maintain the "Helping Hands Woodlot" ministry that keeps local residents stocked with firewood during the lean winter months.
